Second life, first class

Creating an inspiring workplace doesn't have to mean buying everything brand new.

When climate innovation hub 9Zero leased its new 15,000 square foot office in San Francisco, they had five weeks to furnish the entire space and a budget that demanded creative thinking. Gensler referred them to RESEAT and challenged us to source beautiful, commercial grade furniture that matched both their sustainability goals and their timeline.

Challenge accepted.

Our team sourced premium second-life furniture from 11 brands, including Steelcase, Enwork, Allermuir, Davis, and Bernhardt. The result: a modern, collaborative workspace that looked anything but second-hand, at 60% less than buying new.

The project didn't stop at furniture. Every piece got a RESEAT ID, a smarter way to manage assets across their full lifecycle. As 9Zero grows, they can move, donate, renew, resell, repair, or reorder furniture in a few clicks. Valuable resources stay in use instead of in landfills.

By choosing second-life furniture, 9Zero kept 53,475 kg of CO₂e out of the atmosphere.

At RESEAT, we believe sustainable workplaces should be affordable, accessible, and well designed. Projects like 9Zero prove that doing right by the planet can also be the smartest business decision.

Ready to rethink your next office project? Let's give great furniture a second life.
